Preventing & Treating Split Ends

1. Get your hair trimmed every 6 to 8 weeks! This is the most obvious thing to do. Having it trimmed with help prevent new split ends from coming and prevents current split ends from traveling all the way up your head.
2. Brush your hair before showering in order to manage tangles. While your in the shower gently wash your hair. After your shower do not brush your hair! Just wait for it to dry because brushing it while its wet will cause damage.
3. When showering apply shampoo to the crown of your head. Gently massage it in and work down wards in a zig zag pattern. Remember - we are trying to prevent tangles.
4. Directly after washing your hair apply conditioner to the hair. Do not put it on your head, just the hanging hairs. If you put it on your head it will make your hair look greasy. If your hair is dry you can put it on your head. Simply apply the conditioner to the hanging hair then use the little bit you have left and wipe it onto your head.
5. If your hair is dry it is a good idea to apply a leave in condtioner.

8. use split end treatments such as:
