Treating Milia

Milia? What's that?:

Milia is a term I had not heard of until very recently. They are a form of acne. Picture a large white head/tiny cyst. They are just small white bumps on your skin as shown above. I would have just treated them like normal acne, but there is a bit of a different treatment.

The best thing to try to do is using comedogenic products. Such as makeup, thick eye creams or lotions. I use these items and they always make it worse. Topical retinoids, microdermabrasion or products with salicylic acid are best used to treat them.

Do not try to extract them yourself - they can be pretty annoying and usually end up worse. Visit a dermatologist if they are really bothering you. A dermatologist can extract them properly.
