Treating Dandruff:
Nothings worse than talking to a hot boy then later realizing that the whole time you had a flake of dandruff sitting in the hair near your forehead. Actually, even if nobody sees it it is still quite annoying.
Dandruff is, in fact, a fungus! Many people believe it is dead skin. It is a reaction to the fungus malassezia globosa. About 50% of the population has a reaction to it. Chances you are a part of that group. It causes itching, flaking and oily hair.
Pyrithione zinc treats dandruff. So try to get a shampoo and conditioner with pyrithione zinc in it. If you choose to use a regular conditioner in conjunction with the dandruff treating shampoo the shampoo will not work. Regular condtioners strip away the pyrithione zinc. So just skip condtioner all together if that is the case. Also if you do use a dandruff treating condition massage it into the scalp. I know we always hear "do not put conditioner on the scalp," but in this case it is important.
