Getting Rid of Acne
What is it?
I'm not going to get all scientific or anything. I'm just going to tell it how I know it. Acne is an infection of the skin caused by clogged pores, alergic reactions (from foods, lotions, etc.), and/or hormones.
It Can Come in the Form Of...
-Black heads: they look like black dots.-White heads: they look like a black head, but white.
-Papules: they are red and tender with no head.
-Pustules: they are red with a white or yellow center.
-Nodules: hard larg bumps that last for a long period of time.
-Cysts: looks a lot like a nodule. It is more pus filled and far under the surface.

What can cause acne?!
-Makeup!-Unhealthy foods!
-Not enough water!
-Air pollution!
-Dead skin!
-Touching your skin!
-Using to many products!
-Hormones!
-Allergic reactions!
-Sebum! Which is the gland that produces oil.
PS: Chocolate does NOT cause acne!
-What causes acne are the ingredients commonly mixed with chocolate such as all the sugar. Milk chocolate does irrate skin (unless your lucky with perfect skin). However, dark chocolate is GREAT! I recomend getting 65% cocoa chocolate bars. The cocoa bean, which is actually the cacao (ca-cow) bean. Is very healthy for you and full of antioxidants with are great for your skin. "Raw cocoa has the highest antioxidant value of all the natural foods in the world!"
Basics To Treating Acne
These are tips often told, but can help...-Drink plenty of water! I get so annoyed when I see people that never drink water and here is why: Your skin is the biggest organ on your body. All your organs need water to work properly and to add onto that your skin is the ottermost organ. This means that it is the last one to get water, and gets the least ammount. Also your body is mostly water! Water helps skin cells stay clean, moistorized, and increases cell reproduction.
-Eat healthier! If possible try to eat more organic healthy foods. Fruits and veggies especially. Not only will your whole body look more beautiful but so will your skin. Junk food irrates your skin with all the harmful toxins, however, your skin loves all the nutrients from healthy foods! For some people acne clears just by eating healthier. Get rid of the sugar! Eat less meat, I'm not saying stop eating it altogether. and eat organic!
-Wash your face! Wash your face two times a day, morning and night. Cleansers are very complicated in choosing because all skin is different. Some cleansers may irrate your skin while others don't. I say choose either a simple organic cleanser or a cleanser with 2.5% of benzoyl peroxide or salycilic acid in it. Give them a month to see if your skin improves. Don't immediantly throw it away if your skin breaks out the first week or so! This is your skin adjusting, and it may be getting rid of the bad stuff.
-Use a spot treatment! There are numerous out there. If you have mild acne simply put on the spot and go to bed. Choose one with 2.5% benzoly peroxide or salicylic acid in it. If it is very bad choose a treatment with 5%
-Exfoliate once a week! Try to find a simple facial scrub and use it once a week to get rid of dead skin cells which clog your pores.
-Try wearing less makeup! Makeup is a HUGE contributor to acne. It clogs pores and causes most acne. If you do wear wash it off ASAP!
-Use a moisturizer! Your skin can become dry using these products so make sure to use a moisturizer! I use mine in the morning. Sometimes acne is caused by dry skin.
Like I said, this can be very vague because everyone is different but, try it out and see if it works!
Treating black heads!
Blackheads are a pore blocked with oil, bacteria, dead skin cells etc. that come from various places. Well the treatment is very simple:-Wash your face with a scrub once a week.
-Don't wear makeup as along as possible.
-And use a benzoyl peroxide cream (found in most acne treatments) or use a salicylic acid cream (also found in most acne treatments)
-Just give your skin time to clear. They should go away soon.
